Responsibilities:
- Provides first point of contact for users requesting IS services.
- Responds to work orders and performs routine to complex problem diagnosis and problem resolution.
- Provides input for system documentation and maintenance.
- Implements preventive measures to avoid future system problems.
- Performs installations, upgrades, and backups of software and hardware applications for the desktop and peripherals, as required.
- Serves as point of contact to the local telecommunications, IT and infrastructure (AC, UPS...) providers
- Maintain and check server enevironment in Hyderabad office under supervision of the global Wintel team
- Install, repair, and service data and telecommunications networks.
- Educates and trains users to help them avoid future problems.
- Routes unresolved problems to appropriate second level individual, group, or vendor.
- Coordinates employee moves requiring the installation of software and hardware.
- Follows up with users on problem solutions.
- Performs preventative maintenance on systems and peripheral equipment, as required.
- Implements system security.
- Participates on projects as assigned.
- Maintains Quantum standards.
- Responds to on-call pages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree related to engineering or computer science with typically at least 3 or more years IS end user experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good working knowledge of PC operating systems (e.g. Windows XP & Vista).
- Experience and technical competence.
- Fluent in English.
