Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include writing and executing detailed test plans and test cases for the testing of NAS and Virtual Tape Library backup systems.
- The candidate will work closely with the development team to execute test cases for individual software components, and for the system as a whole.
- Provide software test automation and error injection.
- Candidate must have good troubleshooting skills in order to determine the root cause of the problem.
Qualifications:
-Hands on experience with designing and creating the automation framework
- Able to analyze existing automation framework, suggest improvements, and create requirements based on test team needs.
- Some storage knowledge is needed but knowledge of at least 1 backup application is a must
- Good communication skills and work well with people (development and test teams)
- BS/MSCS or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in Test and/or Development in Storage related products.
- Previous experience as a Test Lead preferred, including mentoring junior test engineers.
- Software test experience on Linux or other Unix platform.
- Knowledge of NAS, SCSI and Fibre Channel SAN.
- Scripting experience with Perl, or Unix Shell.
- Experience with Backup applications such as Netbackup, Legato Networker is a big plus.
- Experience in development of Automated test suites.
